Absolutely! Please come down to our next meeting as my guest, ask the participants anything you like and see if you feel that what you will learn will offer a significant contribution to your business/practice. In addition, great contacts are made even though that is not our focus.

“think out of the box” in business or otherwise

Meetings end at 3:15PM.

Why is your group different from other groups?

Unlike networking only groups or networking plus a speaker type of format, we allow for networking, introductions and then offer a unique” interactive learning experience rather than a presentation. We cover some areas that you won’t find in other groups nor in most colleges and universities.

What can one hope to learn at your group?

Our primary focus is “thinking out of the box” as pertaining to all types of business development issues.

In addition, what I have found over the years is that computer people are good at computers. Lawyers, accountants and architects are highly qualified within their professions. Engineers of all kinds, entrepreneurs and sales/marketing people again possess strong levels of expertise.

Unfortunately, I found that several of these talented folks lack behavioral understanding skills restricting them from performing at their best levels. That’s why sports psychologists are now brought into the corporate structure.

Who cares about behavioral understanding; I’m a technical person interested in business development.  Why bother?

You are in a meeting with a prospective client - or - in a corporate type of meeting at your company and someone triggers you to the point where you would like to jump across the table. How effective are you after that encounter? ………..That’s why it helps significantly to learn business development skills along with behavioral understanding.  It helps you to achieve your objective without allowing distractions to disturb your focus.

Specifically, how does business development combined with behavioral understanding help improve my business?

The training we use can be compared to Aikido or Karate where one uses the energy of an opponent against him/herself. We are not in a meeting to engage in war, however, when under attack, we must respond effectively and not from anger. You will learn to achieve your goals by doing the opposite of what you think ie., controlling. We help you to dismantle control on either side and lead with the highest humanistic values that can be attained.

This is how you build trust and secure information that would not have been divulged had you continuously pressed for control. Controlling moves you away from your objective; not towards it.

How long does one stay in the group?

That’s entirely up to you. Since we have added different areas to think about, people are remaining in the group longer. Our longest running member is about 17 years. The whole theory with what we do is that no matter what level you are at, there must still be a way to improve. Many people join us to network or learn a skill but, after being there for a while, begin to realize they are attending meetings for reasons other than their original focus.

I doubt if I could attend many meetings…….I’m busy.

Participants attend as they are able as they are flying around the country or the world. We have members who do not attend any meetings; they keep in touch by phone as they enjoy being able to bounce ideas around with someone who has been out there for a while.

 Hope you’ll join us………….
